Custom cabinets and built-ins in Austin, TX
Design. Build. Install.
I specialize in small residential custom cabinetry projects in the Austin (TX) area, with a focus on quality from the initial design phase through installation. These are not mass-produced cabinets. Each one is hand-made, one at a time, in my north Austin shop using quality materials and quality construction techniques.
I work closely with my clients to assess their unique needs and design cabinetry to meet those needs on projects like: kitchens, bathrooms, home offices, living rooms, media rooms, and closets.
Built to fit your space
"I just don't have enough storage space" is a phrase that I often hear from homeowners. Sometimes big changes aren't necessary. Sometimes all it takes is creative cabinetry solutions.
Designed to fit your needs
When space is at a premium, our custom cabinets are engineered to maximize every possible inch to make the best use of that space.

About Fairweather Woodwork & Cabinetry
Fairweather Woodwork & Cabinets is a one man operation. It's me -- James Dvorscak. Hi!
I didn't come into cabinetmaking by what one would consider the "traditional" route. With a degree in Advertising and a background in media sales, I took up cabinetmaking out of necessity -- I just couldn't find what I needed for my own home (a 70's rancher / tract home sorely lacking storage) at the big box stores.
So I rolled up my sleeves and made my own cabinets in my garage. On days when it was nice outside, I'd roll my workbench and tools out into my driveway (hence: "fairweather") and get to work.
And after a while, not only did I realize that I was pretty good at making custom cabinets, but I found that I enjoyed working with my hands and the satisfaction that comes with making things.
And now I make cabinets for a living.
